A turned edge cigar box is built from rigid chipboard and wrapped by hand, so the paper folds cleanly over every corner — no bare edges and no visible seams. The hinged lid opens like a humidor, which is why this style still reads as the premium choice on a retail shelf or inside a launch kit.
Everything on the surface is your call: hot foil stamping, embossing or debossing, spot UV, and matte, gloss or soft-touch lamination. Inside, we fit a foam insert or thermoformed tray cut to your cigar count so nothing shifts in transit.

Cigar Box Styles We Produce
The closure you pick changes how the cigars sit inside the box. These are the four styles we build most often.
Slid Lid
A sleeve lid that slides open. Most commonly sized to hold 20 to 50 cigars.
8-9-8
Rounded sides and three layers of cigars: eight on the bottom, nine in the middle, eight on top.
Flat Top
Two flat layers, typically thirteen cigars on top and twelve below.
Box-Pressed
Built for square-pressed cigars: two layers with the same count, no wasted space.

Cigar boxes were once made almost entirely from Spanish cedar, prized for its fine grain and the way it held humidity. Today the practical answer is a rigid chipboard setup wrapped in your choice of printed paper — it holds its shape, protects the cigars from light and humidity swings, and costs a fraction of solid wood.
That surface is where your brand does the work. We print the wrap, then finish it by hand so the box looks as considered as what is inside it.

What is your minimum order quantity?
It depends on the box style and the finishing you choose. Most turned-edge and rigid cigar boxes can start from a small trial run. Tell us your target volume and we will quote the smallest batch that still makes commercial sense.
How long does production take?
Once you approve the artwork and the deposit, we confirm a production date in writing before we start. Sampling adds a few days up front, and the freight time depends on whether you choose air or sea.
Do you provide free design and a mockup?
Yes. Send your logo, dimensions and any reference photos. Our design team prepares the dieline and a 3D mockup for you to approve, free of charge.
Can I get a physical sample before I order?
Yes. We produce a pre-production sample using the final printing and finishing, so you can check the paper, the foil, the colour and the fit of the insert in your hand.
What printing and finishing options are available?
Hot foil stamping, embossing and debossing, screen and digital printing, spot UV, and matte, gloss or soft-touch lamination. Foam, EVA and thermoformed tray inserts are available inside.
